The files were recorded by putting the 3 mics as physically close together as possible, first in cardioid on acoustic guitar (from about 2 feet out) and second in omni on drums (about 4 feet in front of the kit & 7 feet high). Preamps & conversion were 3 channels of a Crane Song Spider ("normal" amp, not FAT, & no analog process) into a Mackie HDR24/96 at 24bits 44.1khz.
